Rejecting a profession of love, an intention to commit, or an invitation to have an outright non-platonic date is part and parcel of the whole idea of courtship.
But how about rejecting a friendly invitation to simply hang out?
What would you do if someone keeps asking you out and you honestly have no wish to devote even a few hours a week for him - after all, we are all busy and lazy bastards - but yet you are fine with him enough not to wish to offend him by rejecting this friendly gesture?
