The next three days were more peaceful and scenic than colourful and hectic. It's definitely a lot about experience than a bunch of pictures, so I don't have a lot covering these three days.
My Calpis fetish extends to pineapple flavours etc.
The Hakone region is famous for their black eggs (which I tried and... didn't find remarkable). They really kawaii-nize everything.
Travelling across the Hakone region was cool because you get to take the bus, the train, the cable car, the ropeway, and the cruise, in one reasonable package. Too bad I couldn't see Mt Fuji.
The Shirahama hostel actually closed its doors at 10PM. The alternative hotels were way more expensive, so I decided to stay overnight on one of these beach benches :P........... though I couldnt fall asleep at all. So I just started exploring the region at 4AM in the morning :D
Yummy. The Three-Step Cliff.
A sign hoping to turn away suicidal visitors. I guess for some people, jumping to their deaths on a scenic spot makes it more worthwhile.
YUM!!!! This dish was udon (yum) with egg, prawn tempura (nice), bean curd skin (superb - the sweet taste oozed out as I bit in), seaweed (eww), beef yakiniku (nice), fish flakes (ok) and a weird sticky thing I just can’t figure out.
Spa World is a mega indoor spa with thematic pools, from hot to cold, from soapy to herbal, from hot Asian to European. It had lots of facilities including for visitors to stay the night over (which I did). It's not a gay sauna but... oooh booooy the cruising was not sublime.
Himeji castle is the largest castle in Japan, and is not reconstructed with metal and concrete like many others.
From a nice distance. I did go inside the castle; it was okay inside.
The museum next to the castle allowed visitors to try on Yoroi Samurai armour. I wanted to try on the Geisha dresses but didn't dare to ask...
Busaiku!!!~
My favourite picture of the entire trip :)
Seppuku~~
