A story of friendship
I was stopped in the left hand turn lane on my trip home from work. The young lady in the car to my right (also stopped at the red light, of course) was exceptionally attractive, so following the code of the road, I was discreetly checking her out. I got a weird feeling, so I looked past her to the car to her right, where I find another dude doing the "I'm looking out the window but not necessarily looking into your car" leer. He must have gotten the same goofy feeling, because he looked up and we made eye contact. At this instant, the light turned green. He and I both nodded the nods of those who understand the way things are in the world and then drove our separate ways. I will probably never see either this attractive lady or the other dude again, but in that instant, I made a new friend.
