So, tomorrow (today?) looks to be my last day of classes at MUN. Certainly, it'll be the last of my undergraduate classes, but, as it turns out, I'll likely not be going back for an M.BA next fall. Judy (thank you so much for suggesting her for 1101, Ben, she's been amazing) informed me earlier this week that, with a B.Sc Pure Mathematics under my wing, it'd probably be best if I just hopped right onto the CA certification bandwagon. Translation? Get a job with an accounting firm as a CA student, so that I can work towards becoming a chartered accountant.
Yikes. Big, shaky step.
Naturally, I've been nervous and excited since hearing the news, especially since this looks like the end of my pre-structured education. I'll be doing courses and related work while worked towards designation, but it won't really be the same. At least I know the learning process isn't over; I like learning. I also like MUN, though, so it's going to be a bit of a downer when I don't go back in January. I'll definitely have to come visit, though, especially since I can't let David hog that parking space I paid for.
Edit: It looks like I may be back next term after all, as I may need to take two more Business courses at MUN to gain exemption from a set of required courses under the designation process. But that's what the meeting next week is all about, so I'll know for sure by Monday.
Also been thinking about moving out a bit more, but that's stuff for another day, really. I suppose the CA stuff is, too, since I've still got exams to worry about.
I mean, c'mon, four years at MUN, and the latest I write an exam is from 3 'til 5. During my ninth and final term here, I've got three 7-9 evening exams? What are the odds? And, naturally, one is on the very last day of exams. My luck, I tell you.
Oooh, Christmas is coming. I can just smell it.
