Office politics can bite my ass

I've had my compressed hours whipped out from under me. Apparently, indeterminate co-workers nearby in Accounts have been unable to get compressed schedules because they're not under the collective agreement, while us students, most of whom rely on someone else for transportation, have been allowed them. (A compressed schedule is working something besides a 7.5 hour workday. I've been doing 8 to 5, or 8.5 hours, Monday to Thursday to coincide with dad's work schedule, and taking off at 11:30 Fridays.) So, because we're near these poor, underprivelidged souls when we get off work early, there've apparently been some upset mutterings going around. Thus, the higher-ups took action, and now I have to wait around for almost an hour outside the Tax Centre after work every day until the end of our contract (extended once more, now to July 15), because some whiny folks think that, if they can't get their way, no one does.

Utterly. Stupid. Shit. I swear, it's like a daycare in there some days.

Yuk. It's so humid today. I feel all greasy.

Nimh has been a little weird adapting to all the space she's got to herself. Spends a lot of time in the tube. She discovered her new hammock today, though, as I found her all cozied up inside one of the towel layers when I got home today. So cute.

I've had a desperate craving to buy old school favourite video games on eBay lately. I just discovered a ton of auctions for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, so I think I need to start doing some bidding; then I'll have to hunt down Chrono Trigger (we have the PSX edition, but the load times are long and proliferous, and it's not the same), Earthbound, and Super Metroid. *drool* Also, since beginning Dune for the third time, I've really wanted to grab this shirt. I guess I just want to go on a rampant internet spending spree. Wee!

Zombie Friday is fast approaching. Are you ready?
