[Sprawled out in the middle of a corridor is the soot-laden child, hands burnt a rather nasty shade from trying to pry hot and even melting doors open-- doors that might have belonged to a wounded patient's room.
[She's just going to run with all the finesse of a zombie and look around for him. Fire? Forget that, she can take it! Also ignore the fact she's probably working Sephiroth into an early grave here. It does take her a while, but she finds him eventually and half collapses, half kneels down next to him, tired. When she speaks her voice is a little hoarse from the smoke.]
G-Gash... Are you...
[Seeing his hands she gasps, or does her best approximation through a coughing fit and tries to pull him into her arms.]
[Tired eyes flutter open, and he curls into the weary attempt at picking him up, partially subconsciously seeking comfort or at least some assurance of safety.
[Pulling him close she holds him as tight as she can for a minute. He's still alive, thank goodness.]
I... I'll ask... Kadaj. You did a good job.
[She tries to secure her grip on him and steels herself a moment before attempting to stand up with him. The first time doesn't go so well, but she makes it all the way to her feet the second time.]
B-but we have to... out, get out now. ...Okay?
[The fire seems to only be getting worse, but she does her best to walk back the way she came from with him without getting to two of them horrendously burnt.]

[Taking the rags from Gash, Lucrecia puts one over her nose and mouth and makes certain Gash does the same. She should have thought of this before she even went looking for the boy. It's exactly like her to be so careless; a good Dr. Yagokoro is there to make up for her incompetence.]
Gash... Don't... don't fall asleep okay?
[She holds him a little tighter, worried, and looks at Eirin for direction.]
What's... going on? I don't understand... Why fire?
G-Gash? A... are you there? G-Gash!
[Screw being sick, that's for not-doctor-people. She's just going to get out of bed and stumble out into the hall to go look for him.]
Gash!

Stubborn? Yes. Yes he is.]

[Eirin doesn't have to repeated such a demand to the exhausted child. While his mind was still hazed over, the urge for a wet rag was indeed present.
A wavering, burnt hand reaches out, wanting to grab the cloths.]
