I have received rejection letter number four, this one from a literary agency that brags about publishing cheesy romance novels whose covers feature ripped male chests with no visible faces to correspond to that character.
But if I feel put out, that's called 'arrogance,' is it not?
Anyone interested in helping me write a query letter that doesn't suck? I've read a million articles on the subject, and no matter what formula I try (or when I'm not following a formula) the results are the same: a polite, three-line "Thank you, but no."
I refuse to self-publish. I'm far too arrogant for this shit.
