Why is it that high school stories never get old? Ilang beses na nakukuwento yung "9:25", "Bote" and "Three Balls" stories (among many, many others) every class reunion, same effect pa rin: gumugulong na yung mga tao sa kakatawa.
Konti lang kami kagabi. From my count, 14 lang yung nakapunta (15 if you count Dave, who came after some of us had already left... matalinong bata hahaha), less than half the class. Earlier in the afternoon, we played basketball in Ateneo, then split up to bathe and buy food for the reunion. Haha, talk about the Out-of-Shape club.
On a side note, it was also Ben's lucky day; he opened a Ravnica booster (my birthday gift) and got Overgrown Tomb! Php 700 baby! Of all the times not to be tempted to open a pack! Hehe. Good for you, boi.
Then, that night in Ben's house (where else?), reunion na. We played Texas Hold 'Em, and now I'm down 20 bucks. Congrats to Aldo and his "beginner's" luck; he won 140 smackers. But he owes the house 150 for not bringing food. Hahaha! During the game, Mak and Alric gave color commentary to... I don't know, just for the hell of it, I guess. Hehe, more A Boys fun. Consolation prize? Losers got to eat ice cream and pansit earlier than the ones left. Hahaha.
After poker, we gathered round the big table and... ayan na, kuwentuhan na. To those who weren't there, sorry na lang kayo. 1.) You were likely the topic of the conversation, and 2.) wala, you missed out on all the laughter.
I hitched a ride out with Joey and Jon to Katipunan. I left with my legs hurting and my jaw and belly aching.
THINGS I LEARNED FROM LAST NIGHT
1. You can't go wrong with Grill Queen.
2. Chances of you being talked about increase tenfold when you're not there... or if you're Karlo Prado.
3. If you have to go, make sure you leave in a group. That way, the likelihood of you being talked about doesn't go up so much.
4. Bluffing doesn't apply to Texas Hold 'Em when you play with A Boys. Apparently, neither does logic.
5. Damn. High school was the life. (Aww.)
