Last week I started volunteering at the National Council of Women {NCW or Ninja Clandestine warriors as Ed suggested}. I have been reseaching women serving on juries and how it went from being illegal to voluntary to compulsory over the course of about 20 years. Its been pretty interesting so far, especially reading all the old minutes, magazines and journals. It give a real snapshot of the attitudes and values of the people over this time.
But then true to form, having only just found something useful to occupy my time I get contacted about a paid job! Nothing big or fancy, just data entry for six months, but its a start. Also, I got it through knowing a guy who knows a guy rather than actually by applying for it and sending in a CV etc {Cheers Xenogram}. Although it could also be Murphy's law, since I had to goto all the effort to remove the nail polish from Halloween's Goth night party. :) Also, speaking of murphys law, I'm anticipating every job I've applied for in the last six weeks to get back to me now with interviews! LOL.
So from next week I can start the next phase of things, which includes getting a drivers license and maybe getting an article published.
