RP with Sev - sometime in the night
After making sure that Lucius is sleeping comfortably, I order a house-elf to bring me a pot of coffee and sit next to the fireplace. I'm waiting for Severus. Waiting to talk to him. I want to congratulate him on his win over Black, but I also want to warn him. It's getting late, and I wonder if he's coming back at all.
I like the common room this way: empty and quiet with only the sounds of a crackling fire and my own thoughts. I remember one time last year when Lucius decided to wake up in the middle of the night. He caught me staring into the flames and asked what was wrong. Then we... well. That's probably an innappropriate thought, especially since I'm wearing a pair of loose sweatpants. My shirt has been discarded for the evening, and I put a charm on the Mark so that it would look like only a scar. It's easier than trying to hide it completely, and besides, I wouldn't want to.
I sip my coffee and contemplate what I'm going to say to Severus. We've had our rough times in the past and I know he probably doesn't like me. But Lucius is right (as he tends to be). We need to start creating unity within the house. How many more of my housemates are going to become the Dark Lord's? I'll start small.
And seeing how Severus Snape is a squirt... Heh.
