The Devas and Impmon... no Beelzemon, claim to work for someone they call the Sovereign. They also claim to hate humans because they abandoned the Digimon. I do not know what they mean because I don't remember hearing any of this before.
Also, I'd like to make clear that most Digimon who come to the human world looking for a tamer do so simply because a tamer is said to make a digimon stronger more quickly, because being strong is all most digimon care about. Fighting and protecting others was mainly a consequence of our tamers' own choices.
Guilmon is different from most Digimon because Takato created him. He was not born in the Digital World like Leomon and I. For me at least, the reason I chose Rika as my tamer was because she was the strongest available... That's how it was in the beginning anyway.

Only the strong survive? That feels pretty lonely. Anything with a conscience has the privilege to live a positive life. Preservation goes beyond the typical laws of nature.
Even though being with a tamer is different, do you regret what she's leading you into? Same can be asked about Guilmon and Takato?

I cannot speak for Guilmon, but I vowed long ago that I would always stay by Rika's side no matter what, and I have never regretted that vow.
