(no subject)
I'm back up in Derbyshire after a brilliant sunny weekend spent with friends. On friday I headed back down to London and stayed in drinking with James and our mate Marcus. James is, however, doing my head in with his girlfriend woes. She is an attractive young american girl, who lives in America and isn't coming back to the UK (they met at uni last autumn). She's said she's lonely and has met someone. Now to me its pretty obvious that she doesn't want to stay with James, just the practicality of it would be enough for me. He, however, is just blind to it and says he thinks he should wait and see if it works for her and this other guy. It doesn't matter how many times you try and tell him, he just doesn't get it!
Anyway, on saturday I went with Lue to HTID and had a brilliant time. It was very busy, but once the initial rush had passed it was fairly easy to move about. Loads of good sets and it was nice to catch up with a few people. I had a pretty sober night, but still had a great time - it made driving home the next morning much easier! Sunday was spent with Matt and Nathan watching the grand prix which then turned into a barbeque and plenty of drinking until the early hours.
PROJECT CAPRI:
I'm now back in derbyshire and am about to restart project capri. I've decided to take a big step back as I think I rushed into installing the new engine without preparing the car well enough. At least I have a better idea of what I'm doing this time. Anyway, the engine is coming back out again, I'm going to have a look at fitting the timing cover and water pump off the old engine along with fitting some other parts like the power steering pump. It'll be a big job, but now the garage is imaculate it will make it much easier! Routing the cooling pipes will also be made easier and making up an alternator bracket. I'm also going to try and give the engine bay a good clean and tidy it up.
