Heh, always fancied this guy. Some thought he was just plain crazy and killed just because. Some have said he had a disease caused by a prostitute, of which curiously all his victims were. Whatever it was, this man had a method, and playing a puppet-master to his victims, I would assume, he then proceeded to slice and dice. Scotland Yard never caught the man, that's for sure, which incidentally later researchers have said that might have been because he died beforehand.
Revenge often drives people to the brink of insanity. Some handle it like the Count of Monte Cristo (though he wasn't crazy), some like the other-sided Mr.Hyde, but I'd guess it all depends on the reason to say which actions are to be taken, in the person's mind.
