[The flashing light of an incoming connection drew the tiny vampire from her captivation of the city's sudden influx of the foolishly departed. Bejeweled ruby eyes glanced downward... and saw the face of that heavenly-body watching her with all the curiousness of a dead cat.]
[The winged girl acknowledged that greeting in an unusual fashion; cowering slightly away from the view of the camera. She didn't think that her presence would be noticed quite so easily, given how quiet she is...
(Nevermind the fact that her frequency betrayed her.)]
[She could almost feel the girl's trembling heart fluttering in her ears... Yet her fear would be her undoing. Moving away from the camera allowed the white specter to see the contents of her apartment, a small fragment of the layout of this city her older self had slipped into her own memory.]
Oh how you Tremble, Daughter of Heaven.
[In her mind's pulsing red eye, an arrow shot straight through the city, weaving through corridors and up stairs, till it reached the angelic girl's doorstep.]
Seems this world has stripped you of a heavenly body and your faith... but..
I can't be sure of that, lest I see you for myself.
[The ramshackle apartment building on Horton Lane. Third floor. First room to the right of the entrance to the stairwell. 305.
...and all Nill could do was wonder what Alucard meant, and dread it deep within her heart. She didn't want that person to come anywhere near her.
Little did she know how close the girl had actually come to her, never realizing that her chance to hide was fading with every second spent glancing down at the commlink.]
[The line went silent as tendrils of shadow enveloped the lens till nothing remained but darkness and snow across the screen. There would be a sense of electricity in the air, as if all of a sudden a thousand eyes were peering in on the tiny winged girl.
The quiet was as deafening as snow fall, not even one's heart could be heard fluttering, though surely it could be felt.
Thuh-thump.
Thump. Thump. Thump.]
[Thud. Thud. Thud.
Came the sudden resonance at the girl's very doorstep.]
[When the screen suddenly became dark, Nill's eyes grew wide and she pulled the commlink closer to get a better view, just to be sure that what she was seeing was real. After a few seconds of no change, she shook it once in her hands, thinking that it might have been broken, not knowing why...
Still, a cold sweat broke over her from that feeling of being watched, and her tension never faded. She was scared, very scared.]
-----!!
[The sudden knocking at the door made her let out a startled mute cry. The commlink fell as her hands rose up to cover her ears.
With the way she was reacting, you'd think that someone had surprised her after hearing a scary campfire story.]
