Israel launched a series of bombing raids in Lebanon beginning on July 13. This came after Hezbollah terrorist forces crossed into Israel and killed three soldiers and abducting two more. Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert declared the attacks an “act of war.”
Despite what the Arab population believes, Israel has every right to defend its land and people. They have carried on an aerial and ground battle against Hezbollah targets inside Lebanon, as the Lebanese terrorist militant group pounds northern Israel with Katyusha rockets. Hezbollah has fired off more than 900 rockets at northern Israel, killing 15 civilians and 19 Israeli soldiers.
Iran and Syria need to step up to the international community and start bringing some options for peace. Funding terrorist organizations that are out to destroy innocent people is not a peace plan.
