Gregory,
I found, in my old records, a certain man named Charles Thomas. He had been one of our most promising recruit to join the Death Eater circle. We gave him an exclusive invitation to join, but he refused too many times. It took 6 or 8 of us, but he's out of our way now, forever.
Unfortunately, Thomas had no heir when we got rid of him. If this Dean Thomas boy was his son, this schoolmate of yours would have been four, and the records clearly shows that he was single and had no kids.
I looked up in some ministry forms that accidentally got into my hands. Dean (and not Don) Thomas is a mudblood, therefore him and Charles cannot be related. I will keep my eyes open for other information, but I doubt, I'll find anything else.
Sincerely yours,
M. Goyle
