[Having seen the additional draft post, Shouryuu decides to take a walk. You'll find him wandering almost aimlessly around the village, looking around the shops for a suitable weapon. He's not been too worried about it up until now, but it appears he has an incredibly limited time to get himself ready

[Tink's been super busy hauling stuff to the spot near the lake where she's starting the home building process. On her way back from a village scrounge for lost things, she spots someone sitting by the river messing with a sharp thingy. She halts mid-flight to stare, then flits over and hovers in front of Shouryuu with an upturned thimble filled with twigs and other small gizmos in her arms.]

Never seen anything like that before.

[Shouryuu blinks and it takes a moment for him to locate the source of the voice. When he does, he has to blink again and shifts to focus a little better on her.]

Never seen anything like you before either. [There's a smile on his face though despite the tenseness of the situation.] Hello.

[Tink flies down enough to get a better look at the weapon. They don't have anything like it in Pixie Hollow and she's not quite sure what it is. She glances at it, then back up with a bright smile.]

So what is this sharp thingy?

It's a sword.

[He shifts it so that it's easier for her to look at it - but also making sure she's not going to accidentally land on it or anything by mistake.]

[She's checking out every bitty detail she can without touching. No getting ouches today.]

They were. It's been a good companion of mine.

[It's been a very good companion. The blade is sharp and well-kept, but also clearly well-used.]

[Very well-kept. Tink's a little disappointed she can't find anything wrong with it so she can fix it. Shrugging that off, she flits back into the air and holds out her hand.]

[Shouryuu wipes his hand on a rag before he offers it up to her to shake. He's been here long enough that he's figured out that this is how people greet each other, but it perhaps looks a little awkward - he's not used to shaking hands.]

[In this case it works out to more of a finger shake, which Tink does with considerable enthusiasm.]

[He can't help but laugh a little at that.]

So...what kind of being are you?

Me? I'm a fairy.

[She looks confused by the question for a minute, but then proudly puffs up with her hands on her hips.]

A Tinker Fairy.

A Tinker Fairy? [He's smiling at her, but he definitely looks interested.]

Right. See there's Light Fairies and Water Fairies and Garden Fairies and Animal Fairies and they're the ones who make the seasons change. The Tinker Fairies make all the stuff they need like rainbow tubes and buckets for seeds and paint for the butterflies! All the nature fairies depend on us.

[Tink seems pretty darned proud of her talent.]

[Shouryuu's still smiling. He's starting to get used to the fact that things are different in other worlds, and it's not the will Tentei that drives everything. That fact alone had taken almost 500 years to grasp, and now everything was changing again.

How typical.] We don't have anything like you in our world.
