Was watching an old American Theater Wing podcast from 1995, in which Jeff Calhoun (then working on the ill-fated Busker Alley), said he became interested in the project because he'd wanted to do a stage version of Mary Poppins starring Tommy Tune and Cyndi Lauper. He brought the idea to the Sherman brothers, who said, "fuck no, but we have this other script...", and so he did Busker Alley instead, after he showed it to Tommy Tune, who said, "I'm starring, right?".

Annoying thing: I'm on Glory's e-mail list and the Facebook pages for Planet Connections AND Planet Connections 2009. So every time someone gets a review, I get the e-mail 3 times. I'll see if this is still annoying if anyone ever actually posts a review of my show.

Our Country has been getting great reviews- Martin Denton practically jizzed all over it, and since they only had 4 performances, I made sure to actually buy a ticket for tomorrow's show, to be sure I get in.

Have decided to skip America: A Problem Play, and just nap instead.
