Met the kitty this morning- adorable (and yes, black-and-white), but still frightened of me.
Wrote a one-page play for Chatterton's one-page festival. He e-mailed back that he was thrilled to have a "real" entry. He's had so few good examples that he's considering just doing three performances of the same plays instead of a 3-day marathon of all of them.
He also asked what my plans were for the Summer. I told him I'd submitted to a bunch of festivals, but had just lost my job, so wasn't sure what I would be able to do when the time came. He said he was sure there would be room for me somewhere in Plan A ($500, which is the plan I've always used anyway). Deadline for MITF submissions is Feb 6 ($30 submission fee this year!). Maybe I'll send in something simple to produce, like Six Silences in Three Movements (no set, 4 characters, lots of nudity). Probably go non-Equity with it.
Wrote some good stuff last night- fixed up the most recent scene from Dandelion- a suggestion from
carasol altered the already-altered ending of the scene. And now I suddenly know specifically what's going to happen once they finally reach the nunnery.
Am considering cutting my beard back to a goatée. Maybe once Winter's over.
