Potpourri
Whew, Producer Sprint program bios are all in and I'm ready to print, which means I can fold them at work tomorrow! w00t!
There's something cheering for me, as a producer, to have my actors thank me in their bios. "thrilled to be part of this production", "thanks for the opportunity", "delighted to be playing with Duncan again", etc... all very nice.
I made reservations for the Booth and Pat show tomorrow and for Adam Shapiro's cabaret on Saturday, for 2 people each. There's only one of me. Does anyone need my reservations? Patricia I know is going to the Booth and Pat also, and she also made 2 reservations and now only has her.
Forgot to mention that I sent in a sample of The Wastes of Time to a LGBT theatre fest, and they asked me to send the whole play- it's apparently one of the 6 plays that was chosen for a final submission to the committee as a full script. They should be choosing soon; they'll be doing some staged readings in September.
Charles J. Roby sent me an e-mail congratulating us on our MITF nominations. He himself is nominated for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for Zen and the Art of Doing Nothing.
Roommate is out of town for the weekend, visiting her new man and meeting his mother.
Ex-roommate said on Monday my check for the deposit is finally in the mail; hasn't arrived yet. I CAN HAS MONEE NOW PLEEZ?
She also said I have tons of mail that's still coming in there (though some is being forwarded, but Bed-Stuy Mailmen are incompetent); she said there's more mail there than she can mail to me, and she'd e-mail me the return addresses in case I wanted to junk any of it unseen.
My workplace is fairly racially diverse. However, it seems that any time someone non-Caucasian comes to the reception desk, they're here to see the guy who's Director of Diversity.
Very excited about going to the RenFest on Monday with alexlady, darksheik, and red_sykora! I CAN HAS MEED AND TURKEE LEGZ NOW?
The Wings Theater Instant Play Insanity (24-hour play thingy) is still looking for some actors. Neat stuff- I saw the shows last year and they were great. if you're available Sept. 5-6, maybe check it out? I would be vaguely tempted to apply myself, but the MITF awards are the 5th.
