So I saw
Love, Inc. last night. OMG, it was adorable. Music is catchy, plot is predictable but sweet: cast is amazing.
I don't know if it's a Broadway show (as the MITF claims their "commercial" shows are destined), but I could see it comfortably inhabiting anywhere I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change has been.
Kind of in love with hilarious chameleonic actor
Tally Sessions now.
Got home and, inspired, began re-plotting The Lights of The City. My plan is to write a new script around the existing songs (and excise most of the plot of Les Enfants du Paradis, which is frankly structurally unsound anyway). Wrote down some cards with major plot points so I can re-shuffle them into whatever order I choose, then write a new draft. Plan to send it in to the
TRU New Musicals 08, so I have 14 days to do it in. Hell, if [title of show] took 3 weeks, surely I can rewite in 2.
...while reviewing shows in the Fringe, and doing other life things.
Need a new title, too.
And oh HAI, on Overheard in New York again. This one's nearly a year old- I was on my way to Elana's Labor Day Party.
