Dear Dr. Jones Last night went to Marie's for a bit. Mellow Happy Hour. Lots of obscure songs. Then went to Brooklyn to The Brick Theater to see Bring Me the Head of John Ford- there had been some confusion over whether the show was at 9pm or 10pm. Fortunately it was at 10, but I met the director and playwright (the Wimpee brothers) outside at 9 before heading over to Alligator Lounge for a drink, where Eric met me.
Turned out there were two short shows- I'd assumed "Code Alpha" was a band.
Duncan,
I have received all of your materials, and Equity will be approving the use of the Basic Showcase Code for your production of Prince Trevor Amongst the Elephants. You may pick up your approval materials from the receptionist on the 15th floor of the Equity building. They will be in an envelope with your name and the name of the show on it.
All the best with the show, and please feel free to contact me with any further questions. I will keep my eye out for your program and expense report in the coming weeks.
Sincerely,
[dude from Equity]
w00t!
They're seriously cracking down on Showcase Codes- they asked for my program from Admit Impediments (which I indeed neglected to send them post-show) before they would approve my application. Fortunately I still had it in some old E-mails, and was able to just download and forward it on to them.
Good for them- the Showcase Code job has had such a quick turnaround the last few years- glad they got someone to finally be on the ball there.
