Friday night went with Jim Allen to see The Last Starfighter: The Musical, which was cute. My review. Went home immediately afterward, since I knew it would be a long weekend.

Sounds like your Starfighter experience was very close to mine, re: the cast not having seen the original movie.

I thought Love Sucks was loud too, and couldn't always catch what was being said/sung. Barry loved it. We happened to start off at Vynl for brunch, broke apart as B saw Girl Gang and I went to three hours of volleyball drills, then reconvened to clean up a little and then see Love Sucks. No beers after that, way too tired from all the NYMF-ing of the last week.

Last Starfighter sounds decent, I was very apprehensive and skipped it.
