In just a flash, watch how your life can change

After work I headed up to 34th to Budget, rented the truck and parked it on 36th. Budget is so much awesomer than UHaul in so many ways. More convenient, nicer staff, better trucks. Uhaul can bite me.

Then went down to 14th and Trader Joe's, to pick up another bottle of wine and cookies for concessions. No cookies to be had, but I got a plate of mini pastries that was even awesomer. This was my first time inside Trader Joe's actual store (I'd been to the wine section before). It's cute. Everyone's in Hawai'ian shirts. A very adorable manager was running around- according to his name tag, he's "Vinny C". Totally shopping there again.

Got back to the theatre, and I was still a half hour early. BAM.

Show went well. Big crowd, which included jayspec, kellygirlnyc, Letham, Michelle, Ain, alexlady's mom, ceebeegee's friend Tim, Peggy, darksheik (again), Christine, Jack, Maria, and Jason (from Camino Real), Bob Ost, and a few other people (am I forgetting anyone totally obvious? I'm sleepy). So Jersey was well-represented.

Everyone was very complimentary- especially Michelle, who kept saying "This needs to be SEEN!". alexlady's mom chid me for having hidden my musical light under a bushel all this time.

Tony helped me load up the truck with futon & bags, then we got out of the theater. I parked, and we went for food, but Mercy Bar (the grand opening the night before) was closed when we got there, and Zipper wasn't serving food anymore, so we went to Stitch, which was serving food and we ate it. I had the chicken spring rolls, which were really tasty.
I was in kind of a funk, since a) the show was over and b) I still had to drive to Brooklyn.

After Stitch kicked us out, Tony and I hopped in the truck and he navigated and I drove home. It was only about 20 minutes. We got back to my place and brought the futon up. Then Tony left- I was going to walk him to the subway, but he insisted I needed my sleep (which was true- I had to have the truck back by 7AM), and walked himself.

Drove the truck back this morning, came back home and went back to bed. I'd already warned work I'd probably be coming in late today.
