The Salad of the Bad Young Men*

Happy birthday drood!

Playwrighting group was strange last night. I took the bus to Elana's- it's hard for me to gauge how frequently the bus arrives and how long it will take to get places, etc, since I haven't been taking it very long. Once it took me 45 minutes to get home. This time it took me 15 minutes to get there. So I was very early.
I'd brought the leftover bean dip from the party, and Elana and I snacked on that while we waited for other people to show up. Elana and I did the crossword puzzle- I was very proud of getting "metrosexuals" and "R.U.R.". Other people never showed up. We were at least expecting David R to come, but there was no one.
So Elana and I read each other's pieces- her party scene that she's been working on has been much improved. it now has a lovely arc. My scene from "Suckers" needs more work, but is better.
We were done around 8, and decided to do the rest of the crossword puzzle. We were stymied on "1973 Redford/Newman movie" until we realized (with David, Elana's husband's help) that it didn't start with an "L" after all.

They invited me, since it was so damn cold out, to stay for dinner, and Elana made salad with chicken in it. Mmm. Stayed till about 11.

David had to put his car in the garage (he's going to California for a week) anyway, so he gave me a ride home. Wooo!
We were also talking about structure. He also let me borrow Story. Looks interesting.

I am obsessed with this song. I E-mailed it to Cute Boy Alex.
