The white house has a new
executive pastry chef in the form of one William Yosses. Normally this would pass without comment, but Mr. Yosses, has some unique
qualifications for his position.
I'm on
Last.fm now. I've been doing my best to fill up my songs. If anyone else is on there other than
barkis, feel free to add me!
Tony posted a bulletin on MySpace that he'll be coming up here to visit soon! That'll be nice. Of course, he's been saying he'll be coming to visit for years now...
Went to Marie's last night- Apparently Tall Straight James called in sick, so it was Jim Allen All Night Long. Lots of fun!
There were some straight guys there early on (with their girlfriends), so naturally we were talking to them (hypothetically) about experimenting... Jim Allen said, "Just having sex with another man doesn't make you Gay- I mean, you don't come out of a tunnel saying 'I'm a Tunnel, I'm a Tunnel!'".
Ethan called me, randomly- spent some chilly time outside the bar talking to him. He's been crazy with work, and also doing a Spanish-Language play. I'd told him to tell me when it was so I could come see it, but he said it was bad. He's looking for a new job, since the one he has is taking up all his time- 12 hour days and such. He was thrilled to hear about Sami's new baby. He's still excited about being in Admit Impediments, he just hopes he has a less stressful job by then. Nice to talk to him- haven't even seen him in forever.
I stayed till about 3am. Did "Jacky" twice, because people kept requesting it. I was able to deflect one of the requests into "Our Private World".
Andrew, the NYU student who's been there the last few times I've been there, was there again. He apparently referred to himself recently as "Jim Allen's Boy Toy", which made Chris jealous, so there was some tension.
Jim Allen and Chris just signed a lease for their new place in Jersey City.
At one point Jim Allen said something "cast a pall over the bar. ...not a 'Paul', he's not here tonight". I mentioned that Paul was at Ukulele Cabaret, and he said that Paul had mentioned that. They had just gone because it sounded like fun- had no idea I was performing. Funny.
Jacqueline sang a beautiful song that Jim Allen wrote- I remembered she sang it the first night I met her there. She's got a beautiful voice, she should sing more often.
Jim, Chris, Randy, and Jason said they're all coming to the party! Woo!
(Also- Cute Boy Alex spaced on the date and may or may not make it to the party- he'll be late, if he does.)
This morning, Matt text-messaged me (and I assume Jim Allen), saying "I just came out of the Holland Tunnel. I'm a Tunnel, I'm a Tunnel!".
Will be meeting with Ben's producer friend sometime on Sunday (after Camino Real rehearsal) to talk about Thyme of the Season. w00t!
