All I'm going to say about 9/11 is how horrifyingly cheesy the "news" coverage was this morning. Everyone wearing black and looking sombre. No news other than remembering 9/11, traffic, and weather.
The
10 Tenors (what?) sang some bizarre song about heroes that was so obvious it made me laugh, especially when there was a closeup on one of the tenors who seemed to be smirking at someone else singing. Then they were cut off in the middle (right before the high note came 'round again) for commercials. LOVELY.
There was a vigil this morning at work- this company had a huge presence in the WTC during the unpleasantness, and they have a large memorial outside this location, in our plaza. Apparently, one had to show one's building ID to be allowed into the moments of silence.
In other news, got stuff done yesterday- fixed up some issues with Thyme of the Season, including putting chords in the sheet music for the song. Wrote a little more of Ore. I seemed to be stuck on one problematic scene, so I jumped ahead to the next scene, and just wrote that, since I had a clearer idea of what I wanted there.
Watched the Season Premieres of The Simpsons, American Dad, and Family Guy. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Sulu! Sulu!
Seeing Intellectuals with Susan and Andrew tonight.
Mom said she's going to be in town Wednesday night, so we're probably going to meet up after my Who Wants to be a Millionaire? audition, for dinner. Possibly Mom will finally come with me to Marie's Crisis. That'll be cool!
Pitch Contest on Thursday!

woodgywoo's karaoke birthday party Saturday!
Got an E-mail from Gregg- he's doing a reading of a new musical called Hurricane, which is written by Michael Holland, who wrote a song called "Surrender Dorothy" which

darksheik put on a mix CD for me years ago. He also wrote "Believe In Me: The Bigfoot Musical", and a bunch of other stuff. Gregg's very excited to be working with him. The show's not about Hurricane Katrina or
Rubin "Hurricane" Carter. That's Monday night. Probably going to go.
Oh, and I did win the Star Trek uniform on E-bay! $20, which is more than the $3 I was going to get it for, but still half the price it would have been to buy the cheapo costume brand-new. Plus it says the communicator makes noise when you touch it. Shweet.
