One last lost little sheep to go.
"Ianto," said softly with a smile.

Jack was much better than beer.
He rushed out of the kitchen with a great big cheerful smile on his face, and grabbed Jack in a hug. "Where ya been, man?" he asked.
[ooc: Ianto got his ear pierced when he was drunk~]
Reply
"Had some things to see to," he said simply, rubbing his hands up and down Ianto's back.
Leaning back, he reached up and gave the pierce ear a little nudge.
"I like it," it would look really sexy with the suits!
[ooc: Is it time to get a Ianto back to the right side o' de City? :D]
Reply
Yeah, Ianto thought the ear piercing was the best idea he'd had in a long time.
"How're ya doing?" he asked.
[ooc: Sure is! He has to practice temperance ^_~]

"Ianto, I know this is going to be hard but I need you to do something for me."
Leaning forward, he kissed the younger man softly on the lips, drawing back just enough to be able to whisper.
"I need you to look deep inside and forgive me, for what happened to Lisa."
Reply
With a smile, he kissed back, his hands settled on Jack's waist. The older man's words, however, confused him.
"I already did. A long time ago."

But Jack also knew how grief could linger and he looked directly into Ianto's bloodshot pale eyes.
"Look a little deeper. At that last bit of hurt and anger hiding in the corner. I need you to pull it out and let it go, Ianto."
Reply
Because, sometimes when he thought about Lisa, it still hurt, and at those times, he would just drink a little more to forget about it.
Now he thought about it, those were the nights that he tended to stay away from Jack.
"I..." he trailed off and gripped a little tighter at Jack's sides, bunching the fabric a little in his hands. "I did forgive you."
[ooc: Going to the shops will be back real soon!]

While he didn't want Ianto to dwell, Jack knew it was important for him to have time to remember Lisa, to grieve for her and the others who had been lost at Canary Warf.
It wasn't something that just went away at the snap of fingers. Were it not for the fact that Jack had a feeling this was going to be the key to get Ianto back home, he wouldn't be pushing it now.
Reaching up to cradle both sides of his lover's face, Jack smiled at him.
"I know, Ianto. I know you did because you're a brave, good man. But that last bit of resentment, it won't do you or her memory any good. I need you to forgive me."

Jack had been right, after all in hindsight Ianto understood.
He had been right to kill Lisa, because she hadn't been Lisa anymore. But. There was one thing.
Ianto flinched a little and tried to pull away from Jack's hands.
"You tried to make me kill her."
Reply
"I did," he said softly.
It was a command that Jack still quietly wrestled with having given. In the heat of that moment, he'd done what he needed to do and Jack wouldn't have taken it back, couldn't have taken it back. But hindsight...
"I'm sorry, Ianto. Forgive me." He kept his voice soft, his gaze direct.
Reply
"How could you? I need to know why you would do that," he said, no longer fighting Jack's hold, but not responding to it either.
He wanted to forgive Jack, he did, but he couldn't until he understood why.
Reply
"I'm not proud of that decision," Jack said finally. "I was angry at what I saw as your betrayal of me and I wanted to punish you."
It was honest and hard to admit to these things.
"That's why I'm sorry, Ianto. I made a decision based on my emotions. Based on my personal feeling for you and I hope that I've shown you since that I learned. But I'm sorry I never told you straight to your face that back then I was wrong."
Reply
It made so much sense now, why Jack would do something like that.
In one movement, Ianto tipped forward until his forehead met Jack's shoulder, and slid his hands around to Jack's back so his arms were about the older man's waist, and he held on tightly.
"I know you are," he said finally, "I'm so sorry I betrayed you."
Reply
Even though it would have meant he would never have had this young man in his life, in his bed the way he did, Jack was sincere in those words. There were times when he could give anything to be able to go back an save Lisa for Ianto.
"Please forgive me."

And as soon as he said those words, Ianto began to feel a little sleepy, a little dizzy, and he swayed a little in Jack's hold.
