The ducklings seem to be enjoying their new home.

Ducklings do not belong on the bed, Ianto.

Um, Ianto?

I've got to kind of agree with Kyle on this one. They have a very nice nesting box that could go beside the bed, rather than on it.

Well maybe.

You're out voted on this one, Ianto. The ducklings will be perfectly happy and we can better rig a nice heatlamp for them if they are 'beside' the bed, not on it.

Don't worry, I would never.

I don't think it's be a good alternative to floss.

The ducklings ended up on the floor beside the bed anyway in their box, and they were peeping softly as they waddled around in the straw, and Ianto had to shoo a couple away from trying to take a bath in their water bowl, even though it was designed in such a way that they couldn't.

His mood from earlier... well. He wasn't in a mood as such, but there was a little lingering annoyance. The ducks were in a box beside the bed because Jack had suggested it, asked, not told him he had to like Kyle had.

But still. The ducks always lifted his mood - he had no idea how - and petting the soft things made him less grumpy than before.

At this rate Jack was in need of some duckling therapy and thus he unceremoniously helped himself to one of the babies as he came through the door. Cradling the little bundle of fluff in a big hand, Jack walked over and settled himself in his chair, stroking the wee head with a large finger.

While Jack might have been happier, the duckling was a little uncertain and gave a few worried peeps until Jack shifted it around on his hand so that it could see Ianto.

Kyle had only come into the room because he'd forgotten his watch on the bedside table. He hadn't expected everyone to be in there are this time of day and was annoyed to find them there.

He stopped short at the door, eyeing the box of duckling before backing out again.

Watching Jack carefully with the duckling, Ianto was only satisfied when the baby settled down in Jack's hand, happy as long as it could see Ianto.

He hadn't known they'd be so demanding.

Once the duckling that Jack had claimed's peeping quieted, Ianto turned his attention back to the ones remaining in the box.

With a shared bedroom, you always ran the risk of running into someone, and when Ianto heard a noise, he looked up to see Kyle retreating.

"You don't have to leave on my account," he said.
