A Drabble On Perfection

Jul 14, 2011 12:39

We watch it daily. Or we think we do. According to ourselves, we all see it differently. Perfection is the line on which one can walk, hundreds (thousands even) feet above the ground with no net below to catch you should you fall. We realize that only the bravest and the most foolish would dare walk that line. And when someone does decide to walk on that thread, we envy them. Should they fall, people turn a blind eye and clear then area. And knowing the risks,  people try anyway. For the rest of us, we watch, thinking of maybe reaching that point in time should we choose.

For the rest of us, it doesn't matter. Because we may not be perfect in everything, but we are imperfect in something. And thats all we need.

The rest of us like having to feet planted solidly on the ground.
