20 Tons of fun.
Today both rocked and sucked. I froze my ass off all day long. And the weather was typical Washington: dense fog, cold drizzle, persistent wind. So that part totally sucked. As did the 5am wake up for the squadron run. Which I didn't even have to do. So I ended up working from 6 am to 7 pm. That also sucked.
I got to finally drive a Stryker today!! That totally rocked. Smashing down muddy trails in a 20-ton armored vehicle is fucking amazing. Trees, branches, 2-foot deep puddles, 18 inches of sucking mud. All of them were totally pwned by the massive hull of this beast. I was using trees as pivots to take turns. We tore a tree in half vertically when we brushed by it. At least that's what it felt like to me. To the tree it felt like 20 tons of metal moving at 30 mph. SO FUN!!! I gotta get me one of those beasts in my garage.
