So, the first week at the University of Alabama is coming to a close... 3 classes done, 2 to go.
I'm taking an overload course, to help my department chair out. They had 500 more students than they were expecting sign up for freshman composition courses, so there were 5 courses left uncovered. I volunteered early on and took an 8:00a.m. course, cuz I knew no one else would want it. And $2200 extra bucks over the course of the semester. Department chair totally loves me, now. Total freaking brownie points.
The only downside is that I have four classes on Tues/Thurs. Only one class on MWF, though. Oh, that and a whole extra class worth of composition papers to grade, hah, there is that.
Charlie is going to be so pissed at me when I get home. It's pretty much a twelve-hour workday on Tues/Thurs, from about 7:00a.m. to 6:15p.m. I'm thinking there will be something or another shredded and spread around the house cuz she's pissed... she should probably stay with the cute little lesbians who live next door on these days.
