Great googly moogly I am done with this semester. YAY! Never taking two classes over the summer again. Too much in too little time. I'm so happy I did it, it's done, and now I can take editing 1 next semester. I also got to make a couple of films. To be brutally honest they came out pretty under par because I had to write, produce and shoot, then edit and mix sound all myself in less than three weeks for each film while taking another class. They'll be up on youtube by Sunday if I can figure it all out. The first film is "Peter in the Park," which is a silly story about fencing wannabe park custodian who takes on a mugger. Then my final film for the semester is "Love Craft Waltz" it is about a boy who wants a girl, but first must struggle with his insecurities and isolation anxiety in a bizzare Lovecraftian dreamscape. Each of them I wish I could go back and do so much more, but I am still proud of the work I have done. I have the dailies on Digi Beta so maybe I will someday. I'll post up their links eventually, they will be under the user name DustyLensCap42.
We have a new roommate, and it's a girl! Her name is Pig, thus far, and she's an adorable dog who'll be turning one on the twentieth. We got her from Justin's cousin who happens to be a trainer. She had tried giving the dog to an orphanage, but they don't treat Pit Bulls very kindly. So we took her in. I was a little wary given my previous experience with Logan, but aside from the usual dog behavior of relocation to a new home and family, the dog has been pretty amazing and shows no signs of aggression aside from barking at strange new noises and people. She's incredibly sweet and obedient. Once she settles in and adjusts to her new environment, I think she'll make an excellent addition to the house. I'll put up pics eventually.
I suppose I should mention that the upstairs apartment is still for rent. It's a two bedroom apartment with one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room with an outdoor balconey porch. You can probably snag it for 900 or less. Let me know if you are interested.
So I'll be free for the next three weeks. Aside from occasionally helping my dad and getting out of town at some point for a couple days I'm totally open for hanging out with people I have not done so, in a serious note, forever.
There's so much more I'm forgetting to talk about, but it's late, I'm tired, and I still really want to finish "Lawrence of Arabia."
G'Night,
Dustin Majewski
