well, i got the job of my dreams thursday. i'm now a national staff auditor for jeff ellis and associates, inc. for those of you who are not in the lifeguard industry, an auditor travels to different ellis certified pools and waterparks around the country and perform surprised, unannounced video documented audits on their lifeguard staffs. i have wanted to do this since before i even worked as a guard for coney... and im finally getting my chance. i am sooo excited! i go to auditor school in florida in may, and from there i hit the road.

being national staff will be an amazing opportunity, and will give me the chance to instruct lifeguards from all over... working towards the company's overall goal of providing a safe swimming enviroment while maintaing the goal of having zero drownings. the two hardest things this summer will definately being away from my friends and remembering where i came from, while ignoring what i come from. coney island has given me so much in the past three years, and i have learned so much from mike and krista howard. actually, ive learned everything from them. but coney and ellis have different standards. i will have to remember while performing audits this summer that not all waterparks have a platinum status staff, and the most important thing is that the lifeguards are maintaing a professional image, are protecting their guests, and are knowledgeable in their skills.

i will write more as i find out some more information.
