Round One Sign-Ups
You can sign up to participate in this round of the fic exchange in this very post!
There are only a few rules:
1) All fics must be at least 1000 words.
2) All fics must be about Mai/Zuko. This is a dummy rule. But there are a lot of dummies on the internet, so yeah.
3) If you aren't going to be able to finish your fic by the deadline please let us know by dropping us a comment here or an email. When you let us know, then we can find a pinch-hitter to write in your place. Don't worry, we won't hold it against you. Life happens. Relatedly, the same goes for letting us know if you WON'T be able to pinch-hit even though you said you could.
4) Send all completed fics to maikoexchange [at] gmail [dot] com. You can also direct questions there!
5) Do your best and have fun!
The round one schedule is as follows:

Sign-Ups Close: Monday, July 28th, 2008.
Prompts Assigned: Wednesday, July 30th, 2008.
Assignments Due: Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008.
Fic Posted: Wednesday, September 10th - Monday, September 15th, 2008. (Or beyond.)

What is the highest rating you are comfortable reading?
MPAA style ratings, G through NC-17, or Fiction Ratings style, K through MA.
Please provide two to three simple prompts for your fic:
For example:
1) At the end of the day
2) I find a map and draw a straight line
over rivers farms and state lines
the distance from "a" to where you'd be
its only finger-lengths that i see
i touch the place
where i'd find your face
my fingers in creases
of distant dark places
miles from where you are
i lay down on the cold ground
and i, i pray that something picks me up
and set me down in your warm arms
3) "I never knew how tough it was to be in love."
These do not all have to be for the same hypothetical fic.
What would you especially like to see in your fic?
You can be a little more specific here about what genres/types of Mai/Zuko appeal to you especially, which settings, tropes, premises, or time frames that sort of thing.
What do you NOT want to see in your fic?
