[Personality] To simply describe Terra, just look at his name. Like the earth he is named for, he is strong, solid, and often quiet, but within him is a power and strength unlike any other. As a keyblade wielder, he has been chosen by the light as a force of good. This doesn’t mean that he is a perfect human being though, and Terra actually has a strong darkness sneaking around in his heart.
This darkness stems from Terra’s own insecurities, fear, and thirst for power. He not only craves strength for the ability to protect his friends and loved ones, but also because he seems to fear the lack of power more than anything else. Whether he simply likes the way it feels to be powerful, or it’s something else, can’t really be said. It’s probably due to the fact that he has dreamed of being a keyblade master all of his life, and his thought process leads him to believe the stronger he is, the more likely he’ll become a master. He hates losing more than anything. When Terra fails his mark of mastery exam, he is devastated, and is easily manipulated into falling further into the very darkness that caused him to fail in the first place.
Typically, Terra is fairly calm and cool, and even seemingly emotionless at times. Though in new situations and around new people, he can actually be rather awkward and shy. His friends are the most important thing to him, and when messed with, Terra’s usually level emotions can overflow, leading to a frightening and powerful amount of rage and intense hatred. It’s like magma boiling under the earth’s crust. Usually Terra’s emotions aren’t even visible, but they can explode out like a volcano under just the right conditions. In the game, he’ll let lose an enraged scream or shed tears if someone he loves is hurt or in danger. He becomes incredibly fiery and hard to control once these outbursts occur.
Terra’s two closest friends are Ventus and Aqua, and they are the ones who drive him to move forward, despite all of the mistakes he makes during the course of his story. Over and over Terra is drawn to darkness, whether by Hades, Maleficent, or Xehanort himself, but in the end, he will keep struggling his way back from the edge if it means he has to go to help his companions. Ventus is Terra’s best friend and essentially his little brother, someone he holds probably dearest in his heart. Aqua is his other best friend and his long time rival. It should be noted that Terra seems to resent Aqua a bit for becoming a master while he doesn’t, and this jealousy drives him away from her, through distrust and anger, until the very end. But of course, when push comes to shove, Terra is there for Aqua, regardless of ranking.
Because of his intense loyalty to his friends, Terra likes to shoulder burdens all by himself. He hates to see people suffer, and will do just about anything to right bad situations on his own, whether he caused them or not. He has a hard time relying on people, and a rebellious streak a mile long. He’s young and hard-headed, making it difficult to reason with him when he gets an idea in his head. He can be quick to distrust and mouth off to people, but he generally is a good guy once he gets to know people and they get to know him.
Terra often seems like a moody, confused young man who seems to slip of the path regularly. But if he can mange, Terra will claw his way back on track. He’s stubborn and straight forward, but he really does have a good heart.
[Abilities] Terra’s biggest power is his ability to wield a keyblade, an incredibly strong weapon of light. His is a heavy type, and he focuses much more on slow, heavy swings when fighting. His hits pack a big punch though, and while he’s the slowest one of the trio, he really does hit the hardest. When summoning his weapon, it appears very much like Roxas’s did in Twilight Town; it looks like data being collected in Terra’s hand. Of all the keyblades, Terra’s tend to have the longest reach.
He has armor that protects him from the darkness lurking in the lanes between, and the ability to turn his keyblade into a type of vehicle which he rides between worlds. It’s almost like a jet ski in a way, and he handles it with intense precision. He wins a race against the Unversed and Pete while visiting Disney Town.
While he has the ability to use magic, his stat for it isn’t actually as good as the other two characters. He can be loaded down with heavy hitting charge and swing attacks that do far more damage than any of his maxed out spells. His finishing combos can do status effects or take on elemental types, and he is particularly formidable when using his shot-lock commands.
Finally, Terra has the ability to use darkness, though he hates to do it. He only really suing his dark finishing combo when he's under severe stress and really needs the strength boost. In the game, he only uses it to protect Ven when the younger boy is in danger.
[Affection] Terra is not exceptionally affectionate. He doesn't mind hugging and giving hair ruffles to his friends, but if he doesn't know you he really doesn't want to be touched. Always ask before a new character is going to hug or tackle, or kiss him.
[Fighting] Fighting is perfectly fine. Terra is one to pick a fight from time to time, and will definitely go after you if you give him a reason.
[Other Permissions] I really don't have any big problems with anything. Telepathy/fourth-walling will freak Terra out and HE won't like it, but you're always free to ask ME if you can do something. I'm usually pretty easy, so go ahead and poke me if you have a question.
