a brief summary of my day (which was a particularly good one)

1. international politics discussion class cancelled.
2. breakfast with marc langston
3. skorick doing a stand-up comedy routine (at least that's what it seemed like to me)
4. jazz clinic with dave pietro!!! he's a pretty famous jazz musician from new york. he's my new hero.
5. dinner with jawad (we BOTH ate way to much - what a surprise, eh?)
6. afterwards we struggled up the hill to see a lecture by Dr. Ali Mazrui. the topic - "A Crisis in Afro-Arab Relations?: Between Al-Qaeda and Darfur." this guy knew his shit. i mean - phd from oxford, he's met with mandela and arafat, worked with the UN, etc. pretty interesting stuff. he's also my new hero.
7. now - i'm going off to the gym for a late night workout with jawad. meghan was going to come, but then he remembered that he was a lazy bastard so he watched tv instead (ha - take that meghan).
