whole lot of nuthin
hey there friends. so i just got back from dallas visiting asian boy. i hadnt been fucked up for such an extended period for a long time. after the exam period i was kind of happy to have a little fun. the stuff in plano is way stronger than san antonio, too strong for my taste. give me the schwiggity if im the choser. but anyways. hung out with yeong and watched a ton of movies, mostly horrible. i like to think that because i finished a farewell to arms while i was there, i didnt totally waste my time, but then i realize that we watched doom, the highlander, and waiting (twice) while there, so the scales are tipped towards the worthless. though i must admit i found waiting pretty funny.
so while i was there i turned 21. that passed pretty uneventfully.
i missed all the mavs-spurs last three games cuz that bastard doesnt have a tv that plays channels. im still very upset about that. im sure i will recieve much boos for this, but go Mavs! ive waited my whole life for them to have a chance at going to the finals. i suffered through the 2003 loss to the spurs. however phoenix looked pretty good tonight. i cant imagine anything stopping the suns when big fat amare comes back. the spurs will not be young enough. i just hope the mavs capitalize on what i think may be there only chance. there spurs will be healthier and will find some youth in the offseason and the suns will be back. i dont think the mavs can beat either team at full strength in a playoff series. the mavs are going to struggle with these suns methinks. i think it will be at least a six gamer and if the suns play that well in game two the mavs are toast.
also as a side note, i hate--fucking hate--Jerry Stackhouse. Every single close game the mavs have, he ball hogs a possession at crunch time only to suck it up about ninety percent of the time. every fucking time. stop passing to him. give it to dirk or terry or howard or harris or for god's sake van horn. anyone but stack...sorry i had to get that off my chest.
zack graduates tomorrow then we will go see xmen 3 at midnight. im hearing only so-so reviews, but thats what i expected from any director without the last names burton, singer, del toro, or rodriguez. this movie feels a little bit premature for the last of the series. i would have liked to seen a four or five. oh well. such good casting will be rare for any superhero movie that follows. jackman rocked as wolverine. good thing there will probably be wolverine movies.
tomorrow i also go comic shopping. i have very long lists. i should also buy a couple more prose books. i got my poetry professors book of poetry. im uber-stoked.
