We don't have to eat the cereal just to get the tops, right? It might be a waste, but it's better to be safe than sorry ( Read more... )

Any number of them, I'm afraid.

Like? [She sounds as curious as any child, smiling a little]

I can teleport, though I doubt it would let me leave the town.

I'm sure Mayfield would limit our powers to do such things. In my world, I could recreate the world, whole species if I wished. I was limited only by my imagination. [She smiles a bit]

If i was at full power, I could get everyone out easily. [Sigh]

I see. That much power is interesting to imagine.

...Mukuro says I am a goddess, or God. [Sigh] But I wouldn't go quite that far with it.

[A small pause] Have you been adjusting well to Mayfield?

Well enough. At least one person from my home is here now, possibly two since they're rarely away from each other.

That's good to hear; it's easier to get comfortable when you're with people you know. You're one of the lucky ones. [Smile]

Have you been given a job yet? [Just making small talk; she likes learning about people] What was your world like?

The one I know is even in my house with me.

I'm a pediatrician here, like I was at home. I've taken care of mostly children since I graduated medical school. My world is a fairly calm one on the surface. Most people have no abilities and know nothing of the other realms tied to theirs, like the land of the dead, called Meifu.

That sounds nice, I'm sure he's happy to see a familiar face.

Children... so if something happened, I go to see you?

...Land of the Dead? Can you tell me more?

If you get sick or injured, I'd be one of the people to take care of you.

Where I'm from, there's a land connected to reality but not quite part of it. They keep files on everyone who has ever lived and died. Certain people, known as shinigami, work to make sure that people who are alive past their alloted time die and investigate those whose lives were cut short prematurely. Shinigami are those who have died, but were tested and proven to be strong and motivated enough to earn a second life until they finally re-enter the cycle of being born again in a new body.

[Well, that's the short form of it anyway.]

[She listens quietly, musing quietly] It sounds interesting, thank you for sharing with me.

It sounds similar to--... Hm, well. Perhaps not. [She laughs softly] How do you know so much about them? Are you one?

I'm not one, however I've interacted with them in the past.

I think I'd like to meet one some time. It sounds like an exciting job to have.

[She laughs softly] Thank you for indulging me in a talk.
