Yuletide/Christmas

Merry Christmas to all who are celebrating!

I was a lucky boy this year and got TWO stories for Yuletide:

So go on and do not stop (4097 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Biggles Series - W. E. Johns
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: Author Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings, No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Biggles/Algy Lacey
Characters: James "Biggles" Bigglesworth, Algy Lacey, Mahoney (Biggles), Major Mullen, Henry "The Professor" Watkins, "Mac" Maclaren
Additional Tags: wwi
Summary: During the events of the short story 'The Great Arena' from Biggles of the Camel Squadron, the members of 266 Squadron spend an evening trying to trick German intelligence into thinking they are "as green as grass and over in France for the first time" before acting as bait to even the odds and put a stop the slaughter of new pilots by the Von Doering circus. In the original story the events of that evening were barely touched upon, so here is what might have happened.

(Algy is sweetly protective and aware of Biggles in this story, which hints at the trauma and stress of war.)

I've Been to a Marvellous Party (3291 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: The Charioteer - Mary Renault, The Wooden Horse Series - Eric Williams, Wings (TV 1977), Colditz (1972), Raffles - E. W. Hornung
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Nigel Wilde/Captain Triggers
Characters: Captain Triggers, Nigel Wilde, Bim Taylor, Dick Player, A. J. Raffles, Bunny Manders
Additional Tags: Multiple Crossovers, World War I, World War II, 1930s, Queer Culture, Queer History, Airplanes, Backstory, First Meetings, Age Difference
Summary: And so now, at the age of thirty-one, a good ten years older than most of the debutantes to the world he had entered, Nigel was exploring what London had to offer and, thus far, had been really only an observer, and of course co-conspirator in the endless labyrinthine intrigues of Bim’s romantic affairs.

New Year's Eve 1938. A small, discreet gathering in London.

(In which Bim Taylor throws a party and ALL THE FANDOMS turn up. I don't think you need to be familiar with ALL THE FANDOMS to enjoy it, though. It holds up well without a lot of canon knowledge, and is delightful.)
