Hey, this was an excellent fic! I was going to recommend this, before I got whisked away to Forn Parts for New Year's! (Well, suppose it's never too late to recommend good fics--)

Thank you! I'm really pleased that it worked for you (especially since you probably know the period better than I do). Round about the time I was trying to google food prices during WWI, I started cursing myself for having offered to write a historical fandom. But it's a book I love and I was glad to have a chance to explore the characters--Alec Scudder especially.

That was basically my sentiment as I was frantically chasing down medievalists to fact-check my unicorn hunt and Catholic werewolf-exclusion and garment history and ... you know, all those things that you need when you're writing a Yuletide fic in a period you've never formally studied.
