...11:43pm on Thursday, my word count hits 100152.
...12:06am on Friday, I am still sitting at my computer, staring in shock.
I feel very sad that for me NaNo is over for another year.
I mean seriously. I have a trillion things I've been putting off while I've been writing (starting with doing the dishes) which will now get done... but I feel stupidly, crazily sad. My NaNos this year were not really 'mine' like the Maddie Saga was last year.
The Monday Declaration is dedicated to John. A friend like no other here in more ways than I can count; I owe you more than anyone else for helping me get that one as far as I have.
NanoE2008 (no name, still just a file name as yet) is dedicated to Katie (for my confidence), Jason (for going through it with me), Joel (for the invitation and for opening my eyes), Sandra (for including me), Rich (for making me laugh about Bikini Science), April (for making me her 'protegee'), Devika (the original soaking seniorita) and two people who shall remain nameless but on whom Riley was based. One of them may well read this. If you're there, you who live in Albury now, thanks.
Korea crew who may never read this but should be mentioned! Kathryn (for writing with me at the JJB, for the hungover writeins, for the second opinion on the coat, congratulations on the engagement!!). Chris (cos he was the ML when I started last year too! busiest expat in Korea). Matt (especially Matt cos he was at pretty much EVERY write in, we bonded over Korean fusion coffee, sneaking Subway in and how much E2s suck), Dan (for paying out Panchos and getting the NaNoBelly), Carol (for the last two word wars), Anica (just for being awesome), Mel (for being at the first night write-in), Casi (for bein' on the forums and providing considerable entertainment), Leisel (because of wombats), Peter (because macs have scrivener and PCs don't but I still like them better). The chick who shall remain nameless but prodded me into writing NanoE without knowing she did. She is/was a NaNoer.
NB: Was going to cut this, but decided not to. Don't like it? Don't read it =)
