Not long.

Didn't take long. Worked out what I need to do. Blanket statement - be more decisive.

Had an awesome day yesterday because I was decisive. The work thing was ok. Boring but ok. Straight after, got home to find a message that two friends wanted to meet with me for coffee. Couldn't get hold of them but jumped in a cab and rang them from Itaewon - they were still free so we hung out. Split second decision - went to Seongnam and bought an EEEPC second hand for 450KWon (around $450 and boy is it gorgeous though Bruce Junior will not yet surpass Bruce II in my love-stakes). Shot up to SNET to see Brittn before she leaves and to give her Kristen's necklace. Went to Costco (ended up walking for half an hour - I was adament I could find a cab, couldn't so had to walk to the bus stop at Yangjae Station). Did my shop and spent less than my budget. Got a cab and was so relaxed chatting to the driver that when he missed the turnoff and ended up going on a major detour I didn't care. Came home pumped to work on the Herbert book but unfortunately had left my glue at school so (gah) had to put everything together, clip it and resolve to finish it tomorrow. No sleeping til it's done tonight as it is already two weeks late.

So, my decisions are as follows. To change my life and make it better I have to:
1. Apply to do my M. App. Ling. next year through either UNE or Monash.
2. Kick my ass into gear about my weight and exercise, especially over winter.
3. Put more effort into my classes; forget being mad they moved me downstairs because it will give me more leeway to work on some special program stuff. I have an idea for a NaNoWriMo-type thing for my upper-level classes, maybe for the intensive program.
4. Spend the time I would have spent worrying or being upset about things on writing.

Three of the four things above rely on my being able to write on the go, hence my purchase of Bruce Junior. Number two can be achieved by buying a new MP3 player which doesn't eat my files and make them virus-ridden. Going looking for an iPod this afternoon to start achieving number two tomorrow morning.

This week I will:
1. Write something substantial (either a short story, poem or article).
2. Finish my YL course - take the exam next weekend.
3. Finish the Herbert book and send.
4. Go for a proper walk on three days.
5. Start formulating my plot on paper for NaNoWriMo.

Today is a new day. I feel good and on that strength I will achieve.
