Location: Syracuse, NY. Pilot truckstop
Exercise: 20 minutes.

What do you know, a post.

I had a great time at Anthrocon and a wonderful time with my BF, but I'm back on the road now.

my trainee is a tad high-strung, and tends to snap a little. he asked me if it was for trucks as we approached a toll booth, since he'd nodded in the direction of the EZ-pass only lane I answered that it was for anyone who had a Transponder, which I'd already explained we had, and he drove through the regular lane. when I asked why he snaped at me that I'd told him to. I didn't bother explaining I hadn't, I have learned the hard way that when someone is in that state it's a waste of time to explain thing and it's only asking for more arguments.

other than that it's going well. he's a pretty good driver probably among the best I've had. he's already practicing shifting without the clutch, unfortunately he gets angry with himself every time he screws it up a little, and no amount of reassuring that he's doing 1000 times better than most of the trainee's I've had helps.

now if only we can head west, it'll be a very good month

keep on trucking.

PS, oh yeah, I'm told there's some sort of celebration in Canada today, cool for you guys, have fun
