Location:Calgary, AB. Flying J.
Exercise: none

So we've been pretty much parked in Calgary for 4 days now while hardly moving. We got here Saturday afternoon and made the delivery on Monday. while we waited I visited Kzorith and among the other stuff we did we baked cookies. the way things are going one of these day's he'll be the one doing the baking and I'll do the assisting :) It was a really nice visit.

also got to see toy story 3, and that was a really good movie. definitely a fitting ending to the series.

after the delivery we waited for our next assignement. which came tuesday afternoon. As my trainee does his pretrip he finds out the exhaust pipe is ruptured. I call the shop and we get sent to the peterbilt dealership down the road. it's about 3pm my time when we get there. we tell them about he exhaust and also about the fan in the cab not working properly and a loose electrical wire in the back of the truck.

a bit before six they tell us they are done and once we get back to the truck we see the wires are tied down and the fan works, unfortunately we don't think to check the exhaust until we're at the yard hooking up to our trailers.

and the exhaust wasn't fixed. At this point dispatch has no choice to go our load to someone else and we drove back to the peterbilt. they huffed and puffed and hinted that maybe we hadn't told them about it. in the end they said they had to order the part, it might be in on wenesday or Thursday. so we parked at the flying J a couple of blocks away.

today I watched movies and tryied to do some online stuff, but he connection sucked. in the afternoon I get a message to call the shop. they wanted to know if I'd told Peterbilt to cancel the order, because that is what the dealership claimed. I told them that no I hadn't, and that even if I did want to the dealership should know that I don't have the authority to do that, only my company shop can do that.

so the piece was only ordered today so now it might not get in until Friday. and there's no telling if it's going to BE repaired on that day.

if that happens I'll have been sitting pretty much the whole week
