My birthday was awesome, just like I thought it would be. :) The German restaurant we went to (
hausmurphys.com) was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on Food Network, which was awesome. The food was pretty good, but I think it would have been much better if it had been real, in Germany, German food. But sadly, I couldn't fly to Germany for lunch, no matter how much I would have loved it. I also had bunches of fun with all the kids. In fact, I had bunches of fun with all the kids almost every day last week. I think I got my fix for the next few months of my nieces and nephews. :)
Besides that, I watched the entire Avatar: The Last Airbender TV show. Let me say that though it was marketed to kids, it was a legitimately good show. It still had the six-year-old jokes (recurring pointless destruction of a poor man's cabbage wagon) and juvenile romances (Aang and Katara, Sokka and random girls) but the story line was amazing, as were the messages the writers were conveying. (Not to mention they did slap you in the face with thousands of slash opportunities. :D I need to introduce the great writers out there to this show, because even with all of the opportunities, only ten-year-olds watched it and it's a completely undiscovered market!)
Sadly, since I watched it so fast (It took me less than a week [a week filled with lots of excitement, by the way] to watch three seasons, about 10 hours each.) I am now at a loss of what to do. I've taken to reading HP creature!fic for lack of anything else. I really need to find a new show to watch. Thankfully I'll be getting a small respite tomorrow with the return of White Collar! I can never get too much of Peter, Neal, and Elizabeth! :D <3
