WHO: Tonks and Snape (kinda-trippy, halfb100dprince)
WHAT: Tonks was upset. Severus gave her advice.
WHEN: last night
WHERE: Spinner's End
WHY: Tonks was upset, Severus calmed her down - he's good at that.

Tonks shut the laptop with a sound of finality and (wearing some togaish thing she'd put together due to the wing that she just couldn't seem to morph away) went looking for Severus.

Severus was sat in his chair in his study leaning back. His quill in his hands as he staared out of the window.

Tonks knocked on the study door before slowly coming inside and settling herself down at his feet with a sigh.

He looked down and rested his hand on her head before running his fingers through her hair.

She settled her head against his knee and sighed again, more of a huffy sigh this time.

He ran his hand down the back of her neck. before running his hands down her arms pulling her up.

She awkwardly got to her feet. "What?" she asked, sulky.

He sighed and pulled her onto his lap.

"What?" she asked again, settling down and curling in (sort of), resting her head on his shoulder.

He stroked her arm resting his head on hers.

"Mpfh," she sighed again.

Severus lifted her head looking at her steadily.

Tonks' eyes flicked to meet his then darted away again.

He turned her head to face him again stroking her cheek.

Tonks frowned and dropped her gaze with a small whimper and a shaky breath.

He kissed her forehead and pulled her in wrapping his arms around her, resting a hand on her stomach.

She snuggled in, resting one hand on his.

He intertwined his fingers with hers nuzzling her neck.

"Mmmm," she tilted her head a bit to give him room, fingers stroking his hand a little.

He tightened his arms around her to comfort her.

"Thankyou," she whispered.

He smiled glancing down at her quietly.

She lifted her hand and brushed it along his cheek.

He ran his thumb along her jaw

She tried a small smile but it fell quickly.

He sighed tucking her hair behind her ear waiting for her to speak.

She glanced down at his mouth and then closed her eyes. "Can we skip to the part you call me a foolish girl?"

Severus shook his head a slight curl to his mouth.

She glanced at him. "You sure?"

He nodded.

She huffed a sigh and tried pouting.

Severus raised a brow watching her

"It was worth a shot," she whispered. "I'm pregnant, it's okay to feel cousin-i-cidal sometimes, yeah?"

He ran his hands through her hair, "Sometimes."

"It's not fair," she offered, closing his eyes. She liked it when he played with her hair.

He silently leaned back listening.

"Every time I... and he just... and gets away with it!"

Severus ran his fingers down her jaw watching her.

"Why does he always get away with it?" she asked quietly.

"Not this time." He whispered.

"You're kidding, right?" she asked, then gave a ghost of a laugh.

He looked at her, "You're his mother but you can't expect it to happen over night, there's a space for you in your son's heart that on one can take so instead of worrying about how much time he spends with Black start concentrating on the boy himself."

"Even catching up with him long enough to exchange seven words is half near impossible."

"Then only exchange seven words until you can exchange longer ones."

"I'm his real Mum, though," she said, frowning. "Why doesn't he want to get to know me? Why is it Sirius this, that and the other, and Remus... Remus isn't even the Remus that was his father."

Remus is as close to a father as he can get on Brawl and you just have to keep working on the mother link. Just keep talking to him, nothing else to do."

"I don't even know what to say," she said after a long silence, and looked away.

"You'll think of something."

"I guess." She sighed and tried to lean in for more cuddle.

He tightened his arms around her

Tonks awkwardly hugged back, that silly wing her cubs had her morph out laying over them a little like a cape blanket.
