Twitter feeds

A very long time ago, someone posted information on how to hide the Twitter feeds that other people post as their journal entries so that these disjointed communications do not appear on the friends page of the person doing the hiding. I did this - and I have no regrets for doing so but now I want to inform someone else how it is done and ... I can't figure out/ remember what it was that I did. Does anyone in my f-list know the set of commands?

I've just spent the past half hour searching through the options available via lj and querying the FAQs but ... no joy.
