It isn't even 9 am yet here, the temperature stands at 80F and I've already got sweat trickling down my back. The predicted high is 90 and sunny - which is great for laundry, I hasten to add, unless the humidity makes drying (and living) difficult.
I have two loads out on the line and another in the washer. That last one will (unfortunately) go into the dryer because I only have a two load line capacity. :-( I would like to wash sheets as well, but I'm not sure there will be time.
The first two loads through the wash are always the heaviest - blacks and jeans - because they take the longest to dry. If I have to use the dryer on any of them, it is the whites that go in - because the whites take up the most time/ line space. Fourth load is usually black/ sweats - which is a major load even in the heat of summer because my youngest always wears a sweatshirt - for at least part of the day. Last load is greens/browns, which is also a major load because that's the primary palette of MY wardrobe. I suspect it's because I identified so strongly as a brownier when I was a little girl.
Or Brownie. Or both. (Becoming a junior gs was disappointing - all the other girls ever talked about at meetings were boys. B-O-R-I-N-G Not that I thought boys, per se, were boring, but boyfriends and make-up and fashion ... definitely so. Not even the occasional camp-out could make up for that. My mother took me out of girl scouts when she found that I was reading during the meetings.
