Oversleeping and dreams

Feb 03, 2016 10:07

The cat gets fed when I get up in the morning. I do not know why my son won't let her out of the basement and feed her breakfast; he prepares her dinner, after all; but he doesn't. Anyway ...

When I oversleep, and dream, ShadowCat tends to enter into the dream as a reminder that she is (impatiently) waiting. Sometimes she appears as a third child (although still a cat). Sometimes she appears along with other cats (usually kittens). Today, she appeared in a red-cape, using the name "Bright". I think it was short for "Snow Bright" which is ironic as she's a black cat, but there it is. I had made some cookies for Valentine's day, brownies with small red candies in them that morphed between little round bits and definite hearts. "Bright" was supposed to carry the cookies in a basket somewhere - I think it was just for a photo shoot, but there were hints that I was posting the pictures, and her adventures as Snow Bright, on the internet.

Unfortunately for the ShadowCat, I was really tired and her presence in the dream (and the weirdness of a black cat wearing a red cape and carrying a basket) did not serve to waken me.
